New and improved: ‘Top Pond’
Into March already in 2009 and weather, fish action and even anglers are warming up. Everything of course being relative, considering the whole fishery froze solid in early February!
Well and truly into the season now and Graeme has been busy installing some state-of-the-art lighting as well as building a road up to the top pond.
Did you even know that it was there?
It will really come into to it’s own for those ‘fluff-chuckers’ who like their fluff on the traditional side and tyed to imitate the ’naturals’.
The fish in there have over-wintered and are growing-on well with the natural food in the water. Fighting-fit and clued up, a delicate approach will be required and will provide an excellent challenge when it opens in a couple of weeks time.
We ask that you leave it well alone, just for the moment, as we are still making final repairs to the road, the pond surround and for additional stocking, thanks.
Keep checking the site for news of it’s opening and for other information, fishing reports and competition news, (the easiest way to do this is to subscribe to the RSS feed for the site).
On that front, interest is building for our planned monthly ‘fun’ competitions. If you’d like to take part send an email to enquires@carbethfishery.com or subscribe to the newletter and we’ll get in touch with you.
Remember to post any comments and good-times had at Carbeth, after all, what’s the point of catching a big fish, if you can’t boast about it!
