I’ve been working with Graeme and Wendy to update the website and they genuinely want to make the fishery work and be a friendly, family place to enjoy a day out.

As for the day of competition, we’ll best keep the one advertised for Saturday 28th as is, it may cause too much confusion otherwise.
However in saying that – the club will be democratic and if the majority want a Sunday, then a Sunday it will be!

I was a bit optimistic to try it as a friend of mine fished it a few years back and he didn't rate it as it was really just a place for people to gather and drink rather than fish. But to my suprise it was a little gem and you cant keep me away. I make a point to fish it at least once a week!</p><br /> <p>It has been taken over by new management and the inprovements are there for all to see and you wont meet a more frienly couple than Graeme and Wendy the make all very welcome and are most helpful.</p><br /> <p>What do you get at Carbeth? Well it has very good access for disabled, the toilets are clean, hot drinks, hot rolls and pies etc. They also supply bait and tackle if needed, so you can be like me and fall out of bed and then head there for a great day out and good company. Also if you have got kids, its a great day out to get them into fishing because all rods and nets can be hired.
