Weather was mostly dry some rainey days .Fishing was fairly good 2 on the fly pond were doing catch and release between them they caught and released 10 or 12 within 4 hours .On the bait pond fishing was good a couple of new comers caught some . Over all we had another fare month. we’re thinking of starting a fishing club up which i’ll let u know next month for sure.

Weather was good but water level had dropped for a while some good fish were caught .Young ben caught 4 fish weighing at 11 l/bs his first time fishing. There was also mathew who caught a 6 1/2 l/b on the bait pond.Big john also caught two 4l/b on the bait .Then young stephen caught 7.8 l/b on the fly .Water level is back up and steal head rainbow are going in on july .

In May fishing was good mayfly was hatching.There was 2 7lb fish caught in the fly pond.In the bait pond there was a 7lb fish and some 5lb+ fish caught.Carbeth are thinking of holding a few competions in the near future so we will keep everyone posted on when they will be.

April was a wet and cold month but the fishing was still good. We had a couple of good catches. A Mongus aged 8 caught a 51/2 pound Rainbow Trout on the bait pond. G Mckenchine caught a 61/2 pound Rainbow Trout on the fly pond. Big Willie also caught a 9 pound Brown Trout and released it back into the fly pond.

March was a wet month but fishing was good. There were some good fish caught. Davie Grant caught a 13 pound rainbow trout on the fly pond. Paul Bradley caught a 9 pound rainbow trout on the bait pond. Aaron also caught a 81/2 pound rainbow on the fly pond. On the 30th of the month we had a trout masters competition were Stevie Davies caught a 7 pound rainbow and Sieman Cheung caught a 71/2 pound rainbow. Stevie Davies who won the competition will be going to Grafam Water final fish off on may. Weathers been rubbish but fishing’s been good.

John Magee’s Fishing Competition

On the 5th of January we held a competition on behalf of cancer research UK where we raised £275. On the 9th of February we held a charity dance in the Goodyear SSC where we raised £1172. Altogether the money raised came to £1447. I would like to thank everyone who took part.
