February 2009 at Carbeth Fishery

Would you be interested in taking part in a monthly competition at Carbeth fishery?

The competition would be fly-only as part of the ‘Carbeth Fluff Chuckers’ club and held on the last Saturday or Sunday of each month, depending on a majority decision. If there is enough interest, there’s no reason why we couldn’t form the ‘Carbeth Maggot Dookers’ for the bait pond.

Whether you’re a chucker or a dooker, we’d like to gauge interest for this, as well as looking for volunteers to help run the club and competitions.

The club would be run on a non-profit basis by the members, for the benefit of the members with the full backing and support of Carbeth fishery.  There would be a monthly winner as well as an annual winner , so monthly results will accumulate towards the most consistent (or luckiest!) angler of the year.

Please ask at the lodge for details of how to state your interest, or send an email via the site or at: enquiries@carbethfishery.com

Better still, subscribe for email updates, that way you will be informed of progress and full details. Feel free to post any comments.

All the best for the coming season.

Paul

Well done! It just goes to show that if you adapt to the conditions, you can still catch.
