Sorry it’s taken a while to get this up but better late than never eh?

It was a fine day on Sunday 31st May. Too fine, or so I thought.

Really bright sunshine and hot temperatures led me to believe that it would be a tough day for our fluff chuckers and maggot dookers.

I was wrong. Well, half wrong!

On the fly pond most of the chuckers outdid themselves.

Honorable mentions for Alan ‘Flash’ Martin, Arthur and Stevie who had five fish each, however it was Mr Chung with seven who took the most caught title.

Heaviest bag of three fish went to Stevie Taylor, well done to all.

On the bait pond, things were a bit tougher in the difficult conditions with the margin of the winning bags literally coming down to ounces.

Now, if only I had an ounce of brain, I would be able to tell you the winners names!

However in the week it’s taken me to get this blog done, my highly sophisticated filing system has let me down.

Ok, I lost the bit of paper that I had written everything down on!

Sorry. I blame the heatwave we’ve had, I’ve also had a birthday through the week, so I’m definitely getting senile.

Peter on the left with fellow winner, lets call him Mr X!

I do know that the young man on the left is Peter, but all I can offer is humble apologies to our winner on the right – let me know your name and I’ll make amends!

The next competition will be on Sunday 28th June, hope to see you there.
