A busy time ahead…too busy?
You will see that we’ve added a couple of new tabs to the site – EVENTS and FOR SALE – and I’ll be busy filling them with useful info. It’s not all been work however, I managed to wet a line earlier today.
I can’t remember a March when I’ve been able (if not forced!) to wear short sleeves. I swear I’ve got a touch of sunburn as I sit here writing this.
A beautiful day on the fishery today with lots of fish being caught, it took me a while to catch on to what they were nabbing off the top (or just below) but I got there in the end with a few of the fittest, hardest fighting fish I’ve seen in a while. I don’t care how busy you are, do yourself a favour and get into some.
I’ve not been so quick on the uptake as regards dates for this months Carbeth events however.
Those who have been following recent posts will know I’ve been aiming to get a monthly competiton going. What date did big dafty pick? Only the Saturday before the Sunday of the Troutmasters fish-off!
So we’re going to knock the fluff chukas one on the head for this month – seemed daft to have both one day after the other. I’m sure though, that the folks with their eye on the Troutmasters trophy may very well be making a wee appearance on the Saturday to suss out the conditions ahead of the big one!
I’ll be there but purely as a pleasure angler
(ok, I admit, I haven’t managed to win a troutmasters badge this year………yet!)
So if you do come on Saturday 28th, we can have a friendly fish-off and discuss plans for the Fluff Chuka’s Club.
If it’s going to be a busy end to March for you, I hope you’re busy on the buisness end of a big trout!
Paul
Tight lines, and no’ up a tree
